ECHL: Savannah Ghost Pirates: Trades and Transactions

Trade:

On Monday, November 25th, 2024, Savannah Ghost Pirates announced they traded defenseman CJ McGee to the Orlando Solar Bears.

McGee, a New Jersey Native, signed an amateur tryout contract last season in April with the Ghost Pirates. He played in three games, with two being against the Jacksonville Icemen and one against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. In this season, McGee dressed for two games with no points tallied. Prior to turning professional, McGee played five seasons in the NCAA with Quinnipiac University. He played in 139 games for Quinnipiac and tallied eight goals and 17 assists. McGee also assisted Quinnipiac on the road to a national championship in the 2022-2023 season.

Transactions:

Josh Davies has been returned to Savannah. Davies has scored two goals in three games dressed with Savannah this year, including a pair during the November 9th game against the Idaho Steelheads. He has also played in four AHL games with the Charlotte Checkers’ AHL affiliate.

Riley Bezeau has been returned to Savannah from the AHL affiliate of the Savannah Ghost Pirates. He has played in eight games for Charlotte this season and has tallied one goal. Bezeau is in his third professional season. Bezeau played in the QMJHL with the Saint John Sea Dogs before turning professional. He was the team’s Alternate Captain during the 2021-2022 campaign and helped the team to capture the Memorial Cup that year.
