ECHL: Savannah Ghost Pirates Transactions 2/28/2024

The Savannah Ghost Pirates have announced two transactions prior to their series vs. Rapid City Rush that begins tonight in Rapid City. Forward Bear Hughes is heading up to Henderson. The 22-year-old forward has two goals and two assists in four games this season with Savannah. Hughes is coming off an impressive rookie season in the ECHL after putting up 23 goals and 36 assists for 59 points in 66 games with the South Carolina Stingrays. He had a goal and five assists for six points in five Kelly Cup Playoff games last season.

Joe Fleming is headed back to Savannah after being sent up to Henderson last Thursday but did not see any action with the Silver Knights. In his rookie year Fleming has put up three goals and 12 assists for 15 points in 48 games. The Massachusetts native spent last season in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he had five goals and 22 assists for 27 points in 63 games.
