The Rapid City Rush are back on the road this week to take on the Idaho Steelheads in Boise, Idaho.

Last week, the Rush were on the road taking on the Allen Americans, where they found themselves swept, losing by scores of 2-3, 1-4, and 2-3 in overtime. The Idaho Steelheads were on the road against the Utah Grizzlies. The Steelheads won the first game 2-1 in overtime, then lost 3-4 in overtime, before winning the series finale 7-0

The Rush and Americans have now met eight times this season, with the Steelheads holding a record of 5-2-1-0 against the Rush.
The Rapid City Rush enter this series with a road record of 4-13-4-0 and an overall record of 12-22-5-3. Rapid City is currently on a three-game losing streak, having gone 3-6-1-0 in their last ten games. They also enter the series with a six-game road losing streak. Players to Watch
The player to watch for the Idaho Steelheads is forward Brendan Hoffmann, who had two goals and three assists in the Steelheads’ series against the Grizzlies. Hoffmann has 18 goals and 17 assists for 35 points in 42 games this season, with a +8 rating and 41 penalty minutes. Hoffmann leads the Steelheads in goals and is tied for third in points.
The player to watch for the Rapid City Rush is returning forward Trevor Janicke. Janicke is coming back to the Rush after a lengthy call-up to the Calgary Wranglers in the AHL. Earlier in the season with the Rush, Janicke played in 18 games, scoring six goals and four assists for ten points, with ten penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -5. Janicke will be looking to stand out and earn himself a full-time spot in the AHL.
The two teams will start the series on Wednesday, February 5th. After a day off, they will resume the series on Friday, February 7th, before wrapping it up on Saturday, February 8th. Puck drop will be at 7:10 pm MT for all three games.
