Seth Eisele of the South Carolina Stingrays was named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for January 13-19, marking his second time receiving this honor this season. Eisele had an outstanding week, achieving a 2-0-0 record with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage in two games. The 26-year-old goaltender made 39 saves in a 5-1 win against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and followed that up with 22 saves in a 5-2 victory over the Orlando Solar Bears on Saturday.
Earning the title of Goaltender of the Week twice in a single season highlights his dedication and outstanding abilities. Eisele’s professional debut was a standout performance. During the week of October 21-27, 2024, he stopped all 24 shots he faced in a stunning 5-0 win against Greenville, earning him his first Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week award.
Eisele is currently under contract with the Hershey Bears (AHL). In November, he signed the contract with the Bears for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Although he initially joined the South Carolina Stingrays in August and remains on their roster, this move to the AHL marked a significant milestone in his career. He has continued to maintain a strong performance in net, having now made 18 appearances for the Stingrays so far, recording an 11-6-1 record. His performance includes two shutouts, a 2.56 goals-against average, and a .909 save percentage, demonstrating his reliability and proficiency as a goaltender.
