The South Carolina Stingrays have confirmed the re-signing of forward Jack Adams for the upcoming 2024-25 season, marking his second professional season. Adams had an impressive rookie season with the Stingrays, appearing in 71 out of 72 games last season. He wrapped up the 2023-24 season, ranking third on the team in points, totaling 62 points (27 goals, 35 assists). Adams performed remarkably in the 2023-24 season, securing the fifth spot among all ECHL rookies in both goals (27) and points (62). His contribution of nine power-play goals not only led the Stingrays but also ranked as the 13th highest in the entire ECHL.
Apart from his on-ice accomplishments, Adams was also recognized for his off-ice endeavors. Throughout the previous season, he dedicated significant time within the community, spending over 32 hours to various community projects in Charleston, earning him the prestigious 2023-24 ECHL Community Service Award. Adams worked closely with first responders, arranged Stingrays’ First Responders night, shadowed fire departments, made regular visits to a children’s hospital, and actively participated in community engagement throughout the season.
Prior to going pro, Adams competed in five seasons of Division I college hockey, amassing 64 points in 142 games. Hailing from Boxford, MA, he last played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for two seasons, where he scored 29 points in 70 games. Adams was chosen 162nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2017 NHL Draft.
The Stingrays 2024-25 season kicks off on Saturday, October 19th, at home against the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
