ECHL: South Carolina Stingrays Add Two Defensemen to their 2024-25 Roster

The South Carolina Stingrays have announced that they have reached agreements with defensemen Jacob Graves and Andrew Perrott for the 2024-25 season.

Graves contributes eight seasons of professional hockey background to the Stingrays. As the captain of the Atlanta Gladiators last season, he would later traded to the Toledo Walleye. While with Atlanta, he took part in 45 games, adding 11 points (1g, 10a). While playing for the Walleye, Graves participated in 13 games, scoring one goal and contributing four assists. In the playoffs, Graves continued helping the Walleye in their cup run, scoring two goals and providing two assists for the team. Throughout his 327-game career in the ECHL, Graves has amassed a total of 72 points, consisting of 11 goals and 61 assists to date.

Perrott has played in 20 games with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) for the 2023-24 season where recorded five points, consisting of one goal and four assists. In the previous season, he would tally one goal and one assist for two points. During his time with the Indy Fuel in the previous season, he achieved eight points by scoring one goal and assisting with 23 goals. In the 2022-23 season, he scored four goals and provided 16 assists in 51 games, and ended the regular season with 20 points. The Fuel made it to the Playoffs in both seasons that Perrott was part of the team.

The Stingrays’ 2024-25 season begins on Saturday, October 19, at home against the Savannah Ghost Pirates at 6:05 p.m.
