The South Division is heating up in the ECHL as every shift brings hard-fought battles and relentless determination. Recent matchups have shifted the standings, and while the Florida Everblades continue to lead with 81 points, the South Carolina Stingrays have surged to 77 points—proving that every point counts.

Below is an updated recap of the South Division ECHL teams with recent game results from the past week, along with their upcoming schedules, current standings, and records:

Florida Everblades – 1st in South (81 Points), Record: 37-11-6-1
The Everblades continue to assert their dominance. In the past week, Florida split two encounters with the South Carolina Stingrays—dropping an overtime loss (2–6) before bouncing back with a 3–1 win. This back-and-forth has only reinforced their resilient, high-powered offense. Looking ahead, Florida is set to hit the road on Friday, March 7, when they face an interconference test against Norfolk at 7:05 PM EST. The Everblades aim to build on their recent rebound as they work to extend their lead at the top of the division.

South Carolina Stingrays – 2nd in South (77 Points), Record: 36-14-3-2
South Carolina has shown both vulnerability and grit over the past week. After a tough overtime loss to Florida (6–2), the Stingrays managed to even the scales by edging out a 3–1 victory in the rematch. With the momentum shifting in their favor, South Carolina is eager to capitalize on upcoming opportunities. Their next set of games features a home fixture on Saturday, March 8, when they host the Savannah Ghost Pirates at 6:05 PM EST, followed by a rematch on Sunday, March 9, at 3:05 PM EDT—key opportunities to further close the gap on Florida.

Jacksonville Icemen – 3rd in South (74 Points), Record: 34-16-5-1
Jacksonville’s recent stretch has been a mixed bag. The Icemen were held to a 4–5 overtime loss against Orlando on February 26 and then secured a hard-fought 4–3 win over Savannah (OT) on February 28. They also notched a 4–1 victory against Greenville on March 1. With these gritty performances bolstering their confidence, Jacksonville is set for a three-game homestand at Allen. Their next contest kicks off on Thursday, March 6 at 7:10 PM CST, with follow-ups on Friday and Saturday at the same time—each an opportunity to secure more points in the division race.

Orlando Solar Bears – 4th in South (68 Points), Record: 29-20-10-0
The Solar Bears have experienced a roller coaster week. After an overtime win over Jacksonville (5–4 OT) on February 26 and a convincing 4–1 victory over Greenville on February 28, Orlando then faced a setback, falling 1–5 at home to South Carolina on March 3. Now, the Solar Bears are looking to regroup as they host Greenville on Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 PM EST. They aim to combine their recent offensive spark with tightened defensive play to climb back up the standings.

Atlanta Gladiators – 5th in South (57 Points), Record: 25-24-5-2
Atlanta’s season has been marked by dramatic overtime finishes. The Gladiators enjoyed two recent wins—a 3–0 victory over Savannah on March 1 and a 5–4 OT win on March 2—demonstrating their resolve in winning close contests. Heading into the upcoming slate, Atlanta will travel to Kalamazoo on Friday, March 7 at 7:00 PM EST, then again on Saturday, March 8 with the same puck drop time. They wrap up their road schedule with a Sunday game at Toledo at 5:15 PM EDT, all of which present a chance for a late-season surge.

Savannah Ghost Pirates – 6th in South (53 Points), Record: 25-25-3-0
The Ghost Pirates have been in several nail-biting situations. They were on the winning side of an overtime thriller (5–4 OT) on February 28 before dropping a close extra-time match, 4–5 OT, to Atlanta on March 2. Now, Savannah is preparing to host the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 PM EST—a key game that could help them bounce back and narrow the gap in the standings.

Greenville Swamp Rabbits – 7th in South (49 Points), Record: 21-26-5-2
Greenville’s recent outings have highlighted some struggles on both ends of the ice. A 1–4 loss at Orlando on February 28 and a 1–4 defeat at the hands of Jacksonville on March 1 have exposed defensive and offensive issues that the Rabbits are eager to resolve. Their upcoming schedule offers a chance for a turnaround, starting with the road trip to Savannah on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 PM EST, followed by two contests against Orlando—on Saturday at 7:00 PM EST and again on Sunday at 3:00 PM EDT. Greenville is focused on tightening up their play and finding the scoring touch needed to climb the standings.
