ECHL Suspends Tulsa Oilers Tyler Poulsen

The ECHL Department of Players Safety has suspended Tulsa Oilers forward Tyler Poulsen two games for his actions during Wednesday Night’s game vs. Kansas City Mavericks. Poulsen cross-checked Kansas City’s Ryan Devine and was assessed a major for cross-checking, along with a game misconduct. He will miss Friday’s game in Allen and Saturday’s game vs Mavericks; he is eligible to return on Sunday as the Oilers take on the Mavericks.

This is a big loss for the Oilers as Poulsen is having a career year as he has 17 goals and 13 assists for 30 points in 49 games this season. The Oilers are Poulsen’s fourth ECHL team throughout his six-year career, as he’s played for the Rapid City Rush, Worcester Railers, and Allen Americans prior to joining Tulsa. He’s put up 64 goals and 73 assists for 137 points in 265 career games.
