The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve re-signed forward T.J. Friedmann for the 2025-26 season. Friedmann, 27, had 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 58 games last season with the Thunder. It’s been a rough start to his career as he’s battled injuries, but he’s proved he can be a very effective third-line center for Adirondack.
The St. Louis native is entering his fourth season as a pro, spending time in the ECHL with the Thunder, but also in the AHL with the Utica Comets. Friedmann began his career in Utica at the end of the 2022-23 season. He saw three games with Utica the following season, where he put up a goal and an assist. In his two seasons with Adirondack, Friedmann has put up 18 goals and 14 assists for 32 points in 84 games. He had two assists in 14 games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Prior to going pro, Friedmann spent the majority of his junior career in the BCHL with the Victoria Grizzlies, where he put 38 goals and 52 assists for 90 points in 96 games. He would add five goals and three assists for eight points in 24 playoff games. He began his junior career in the NAHL, where he put up two goals and seven assists for nine points in 49 games with the Springfield Jr. Blues. Friedmann spent his NCAA career at Quinnipiac University, where he put up 28 goals and 30 assists for 58 points in 170 games. The Bobcats would win three straight ECAC Championships from 2021-2023, including an NCAA Championship in 2023.
