ECHL: Tahoe Knight Monsters Announce First Signing in Franchise History

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have made their first signing in franchise history as they’ve signed forward Anthony Collins for the 2024-25 season. There’s a lot to like about this signing, as Collins spent time under Head Coach Alex Loh during the 2023-24 season in Savannah. Collins is an ECHL veteran who will bring plenty of experience to Tahoe, having played in 538 ECHL games, putting up 33 goals and 55 assists for 88 points while spending time with the South Carolina Stingrays, Quad City Mallards, Rapid City Rush, Indy Fuel, Atlanta Gladiators, Kansas City Mavericks, Norfolk Admirals and Savannah Ghost Pirates. The 6’4 forward has shown that he has no problem throwing his body around, and he’s accumulated 1,042 penalty minutes over the course of his career, which is 61st most in ECHL history. Collins isn’t going to be a guy who’s going to light up the scoreboard for the Knight Monsters, but they will bring a veteran presence, which will be much needed on a brand-new ECHL team.

Anthony is a great leader, which will help bring the team together for a successful inaugural season.  Anthony has been a fan favorite everywhere he has played, and we fully expect the Tahoe fans to embrace him this season and beyond.”

For the Knight Monsters, this starts the process of getting the team ready for the 2024-25 season as the team is expected to announce their mascot, jersey, and NHL affiliate all at a press conference next week at Bally’s Lake Tahoe next Tuesday at 6 pm PST.
