
The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced that they’ve signed defenseman Adam Samuelsson for the 2025-26 season. Samuelsson, 25, spent the end of the 2023-24 season and all of last season in Sweden with Borås HC, where he put up seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in 43 games. He also spent his first two pro seasons playing in Sweden as he put up six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 57 games with Marierstad BoIS.
Between his four years in Sweden, Samuelsson spent two years in the ECHL. In his first season in the ECHL came during the 2022-23 season where he saw action in 61 games with the Tulsa Oilers and Newfoundland Growlers where he put up four assists. The following season, he would see action in just 21 games with the Maine Mariners and Jacksonville Icemen before heading back to Sweden.
Prior to going pro, the White Plains, NY, native began his career in the US National Team’s Development Program where he spent parts of two seasons. In 2018, he would win a silver medal with Team USA at the World Junior Championships. Samuelsson would then make a brief stop at the NCAA level where he spent seven games with Boston College before heading to the USHL. In 43 games at the USHL level with the Sioux City Muskateers, he would put up one goal and eight assists for nine points. He would also see action in two games during the 2019 USHL Playoffs. Samuelsson would finish his career in the OHL where he put up three goals and 14 assists for 17 points in 43 games with the Sudbury Wolves.
