
The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced that they’ve signed defenseman Kaelan Taylor for the 2025-26 season. In five games with the Knight Monsters, the Oceanside, California, native would put up a goal and an assist. Taylor would see action in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games for Tahoe, but couldn’t find the scoresheet. Taylor was one of 22 defensemen who would dress for the Knight Monsters during the 2024-25 season. He becomes the first defenseman to re-sign with the Knight Monsters for next season. Tahoe has already lost a defender as Adrien Bisson has signed overseas for next season. Taylor joins forwards Anthony Collins and Jake McGrew for players who are locked up for the 2025-26 season.
Prior to going pro, Kaelan Taylor spent a year in the NAHL and two years in the USHL. In 54 games in the NAHL with the Corpus Christi Ice Rays, he would put up two goals and seven assists for nine points. He would add two assists in five playoff games. In his two seasons with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL, he would put up four goals and 16 assists for 20 points in 105 games, and he would add one assist in six playoff games. Taylor would then take the NCAA route, as it would be fitting that he would play five seasons with the Clarkson Golden Knights. In 149 games with Clarkson, he would put up three goals and 17 assists for 20 points. He would captain the Golden Knights in his final season at Clarkson.
