The Tahoe Knight Monsters announced two signings on Thursday, with forward Blake Christensen and defenseman Nate Kallen bringing their total to four signings in the week. Christensen joins the Knight Monsters after not playing in the 2023-24 season. The 28-year-old forward has 71 games of ECHL experience under his belt, all of which came with the Worcester Railers, where he put up 26 goals and 25 assists for 51 points. He has also played in 21 career AHL games with the Springfield Thunderbirds and Bakersfield Condors. Prior to going pro, the Florida native played three years at AIC where he put up 48 goals and 71 assists for 119 points in 142 games. During the 2018-19 season, Christensen would be a First-Team All-Star and would lead the league in points as he put up 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points in 41 games.
Kallen returns to North America after spending the 2023-24 season in Scotland with the Glasnow Clan, where he put up five goals and 18 assists for 23 points in 39 games. Prior to going overseas, the 26-year-old winger had put up 11 goals and 29 assists for 40 points in 87 career ECHL games while spending time with the Rapid City Rush and Maine Mariners. Prior to going pro, Kallen would play four seasons at Ferris State University, where he put up 20 goals and 44 assists for 64 points in 146 games. This is a strong start for the Knight Monsters, as all four of their first signings have prior ECHL experience.
