Toledo acquired Graves from Atlanta on March 11, 2024, to bring a bit of physical play to the defense. While with Atlanta, Graves recorded one goal and ten assists for 11 points and 118 penalty minutes in 45 games. For Toledo, he posted one goal and four assists for five points in 13 games with 28 penalty minutes. In 14 playoff games, he contributed two goals and two assists for four points.

Gresock spent last season with Toledo, posting 16 goals and 129 assists for 35 points in 69 games. In the postseason, he contributed one goal in six games. He came to Toledo after playing for the Bowling Green Falcons of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and two games for the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League (AHL). Gresock recently signed a contract to spend the 2024-25 season with the Coventry Blaze of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

The Walleye have had quite the turnover from when the season officially ended. They have lost nine players to play overseas from the roster but look forward to the challenges ahead. Graves is a player who could return based on his physical style of play, which could be helpful with the turnover they likely face. Players likely to come to the Walleye for the 2024-25 season can sign a contract with Toledo starting on June 23, 2024.
