In a significant move ahead of the playoff push, the Atlanta Gladiators have traded defenseman Christian Hausinger to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for cash. This deal signals a strategic shift for both teams as they recalibrate their rosters to maximize performance during the crucial final stretch of the season.
Hausinger’s Impact on the Gladiators
Hausinger, a 27-year-old defenseman from Anchorage, Alaska, joined the Gladiators on September 16, 2024, after spending the 2023-24 season with the Hannover Indians of Oberliga, where he posted 39 points (8G, 31A) in 43 games played. During his time in Atlanta, he appeared in 33 games and registered seven assists. Known for his keen ability to read the game and contribute offensively, Hausinger has been lauded for his steady presence on the blue line.

Collegiate Achievements
Prior to turning pro, Hausinger played four seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, amassing a total of 71 points (16G, 55A) in 96 games. Notably, during the 2019-20 season with the Falcons, he was named WIAC Player of the Year after dishing out 26 assists alongside scoring 10 goals. This accolade highlighted his significant offensive contributions and established his reputation as a skilled playmaker.
Looking Ahead for the Grizzlies
