The Trois-Rivieres Lions have announced a pair of injury reports prior to tonight’s game vs Idaho Steelheads. Defenceman Miguel Tourigny, who was placed on IR on March 9th, is officially week to week with an upper-body injury after getting suffering the injury back on Match 8th vs Worcester Railers. He has eight goals and 27 for 35 points in 54 games this season.
Winger Matthew Boucher has officially been ruled out for the rest of the regular season with an upper-body injury, Boucher has not played in a game since January 13th vs Atlanta Gladiators. The 26-year-old winger was on a hot streak prior to his injury, putting up five assists in his previous three games, and had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 17 games. Boucher split the 2023-24 season between TR and Belleville as he also played in 17 games with the Senators, putting up two goals and six assists for eight points. These are two huge losses for the Lions, who sit just three points out of a playoff spot in the North Division despite being at the bottom of the standing.
