Going into tonight’s Kelly Cup game two of series one, the Lions have Activated Mason Kohn and placed Charles-Antoine Paiement on reserve. Game one against the Norfolk Admirals was Wednesday, April 17th, and the Lions lost 4-2. Going into tonight’s game, the Lions are looking to tie the series at 1-1. Game one was very explosive between the two teams, each taking their share of hits and penalties. Game two is sure to be even more brutal. The Lions want to revendiquer la victoire and push the Admirals to make mistakes. They hope to complete that by adding a fresh player to the Roster.
Mason Kohn is a 26-year-old, US-born, left-handed forward who has played 17 games with the Lions. In those 17 games, he has one goal and three assists. Before joining the Lions, he attended the University of Windsor and Queens University, playing 100 games with 35 goals and 69 assists. He was named team MVP and awarded the Olympic Sheild as the year’s top male athlete. Coming up, he played in the Ontario hockey league, garnering excellent skills and speed on the ice. Charles-Antoine Paiement, a 23-year-old forward from Quebec, CA, has been with the Lions for 30 games after joining the team in December. He was previously a collegiate player for Concordia University. He’s played 30 games with the Lions, with four goals and four assists. In his college career, he played 47 games with 18 goals and 14 assists.
The Trois-Rivieres Lions meet the Norfolk Admirals tonight at 7 PM.
