ECHL: Trois-Rivieres Lions Signs Winger From USports

The Trois-Rivieres Lions have signed Mason Kohn to a standard contract for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. Kohn, a Florida, Native has spent the last 10 years playing up North as he’s spent time in the OHL and USports, most recently at the University of Windsor, where he’s spent the past three seasons and the final three of his six years in USports as he also played at Queen’s University. The Florida native would win the USports MVP along with being named to the USports All-Canadian First Team and USports First All-Star Team. He’s put up 35 goals and 69 assists for 104 points in 110 games. Prior to his time in USports, he spent five seasons in the OHL playing with the Kitchener Rangers and Oshawa Generals, where he put up 63 goals and 114 assists for 177 points in 304 games.

This is the third signing the Lions have made this month after signing Jacob Paquette, who was also from Queen’s University, and Lukash Matthews from Carleton University. Matthews has already played three games with the Lions but has yet to find the scoresheet.
