The Tulsa Oilers added a player from the AHL and traded one for future considerations Friday.
22-year-old forward Kyle Crnkovic was recalled to the San Diego Gulls. He played six games with the Gulls in December. He’s played 48 games for the Oilers, scoring 14 goals, 28 assists, and 42 points. Crnkovic is second on the Oilers in points behind Eddie Matsushima, who was also called up to San Diego on March 6.
Towaco, N.J. native Anthony Firriolo, 25, started his professional career with the Jacksonville Icemen last year. He played 123 games in four seasons with the United States Military Academy at West Point, recording 22 goals, 53 assists, and 75 points. He was named captain of the Army team in his senior year. Firriolo signed with the Atlanta Gladiators at the beginning of this season but was waived by the team in October. The Indy Fuel claimed him, and he played in nine games, scoring one goal. The Fuel traded Firriolo for future considerations to the Iowa Heartlanders. He scored two goals and eight assists in 21 games before this recent trade to the Oilers.
The Oilers are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Allen, Texas, to play the Allen Americans at 2:10 p.m.
