The Trois-Rivieres Lions have found out that two players from the 2023-24 season have found new homes for the upcoming season. Forward Nicolas Lariviere, who recently said his farewells to TR, has signed in the LNAH with the Thetford Mines Assurancia, the same team that he played with before joining the Lions in December of 2021. In 14 games with Thetford, he would put up two goals and six assists for eight points. Lariviere had spent the last two-plus years with the Lions, where he was able to put up 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points in 141 games while racking up 263 minutes in penalties.
John Parker-Jones has signed with the Ontario Reign in the AHL after spending the last two seasons in the Montreal Canadiens organization with the Laval Rocket and Trois-Rivieres Lions. In 22 games with Laval, he put up two goals and one assist for three points, and with the Lions, he put up 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points in 72 games. Parker-Jones is a 6’7, 229lb forward who is going to use his size to his advantage and won’t have an issue dropping the gloves if needed. Prior to going pro, the 24-year-old would spend four seasons with the Peterborough Petes in the OHL, where he put up 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 141 games before spending a year in USports with the University of Windsor, where he had two goals and five assists for seven points in 15 games.
