The Worcester Railers have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Tyler Kobryn for the 2025-26 season. Kobryn, 28, began the season in the SPHL with the Peoria Rivermen, putting up two goals and five assists for seven points in seven games before signing with the Florida Everblades. In 18 games with the Everblades, he had two goals and two assists before being traded to the Railers. During his time with the Railers, Kobryn played in 25 games while putting up nine goals and two assists. Four of those goals came in his first six games with Worcester. Kobryn is the 13th forward and 18th player to sign with the Railers for the 2025-26 season. After a strong end to the year with Worcester last season, Kobryn should be a name to watch heading into next season.
The Hillsborough, NJ, native is entering his sixth season in the ECHL, as he’s spent time with seven different teams. In 170 career games, he’s put up 25 goals and 18 assists for 43 points. Kobryn played in two games during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs while a member of the Reading Royals. During the 2023-24 season, Kobryn would play in 42 games in the SPHL, where he put up 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points with the Fayetteville Marksmen.
“We are super excited to have Tyler back,” Tuzzolino said. “He is the type of player that this league is made for. He’s somebody who was a division three athlete who came onto the pro scene with a lot of detail and compete and the results started to follow.”

Prior to going pro, Tyler Kobryn spent four years at the NCAA level with Wesleyan University. In 97 games with the Cardinals, he would put up 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points. In 2020, the Cardinals would win the NESCAC Championship. It was the first time that the Cardinals had made the NCAA Tournament; however, it would be canceled due to COVID-19.
