After four seasons with the Florida Everblades, and stints in the AHL with both the Syracuse Crunch and San Jose Barracuda, defenseman Cole Moberg is heading overseas. The 24-year-old has signed with HC Innsbruck of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL) for the 2025–26 campaign. The move marks a new chapter in the versatile forward’s career as he takes his talents to Austria.
Moberg spent the last three seasons with the Florida Everblades, helping the team to deep playoff runs and adding a steady presence to their offensive corps. In 2024–25, he recorded 14 points (2G, 12A) in 39 regular-season games and added another eight points (3G, 5A) in 15 postseason appearances. His previous year saw him tally 14 points (4G, 10A) in 60 games, and he posted a standout 14 points (6G, 8A) during the 2023 playoff run.
Throughout his ECHL tenure, Moberg earned multiple call-ups, including a five-game stint with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. Earlier in his career, he also split time between the San Jose Barracuda (31 GP, 10 points) and Orlando Solar Bears (21 GP, 11 points), showcasing his adaptability and puck-moving abilities across both leagues.

Moberg brings his North American and championship experience to HC Innsbruck as he begins a new chapter in Austria. The club will look to benefit from his steady presence, special teams reliability, and playoff-tested mentality as they prepare for the 2025–26 ICEHL season. Now transitioning to the European stage, Moberg is now set to bring his trademark grit to the Alps.
