ECHL: Wichita Thunder Re-Sign Forward, Goalie

On July 15, the Wichita Thunder announced that they would be re-signing forward Dillon Boucher and Trevor Gorsuch. Both will be returning for their second full seasons.

Boucher joined the Wichita Thunder in March of 2023. During the 2022-2023 season, Boucher would play 11 games for the Thunder. During the 2023-2024 season, he played in 70 games and racked up 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists).

Before signing with the Thunder, Boucher played for Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was with Dalhousie for 5 seasons, playing in a total of 99 games. With the Tigers, Boucher ended his college hockey career with 43 points (16 goals, 27 assists).

Trevor Gorsuch signed with the Wichita Thunder in April of 2023. During the 2023-2024 season, Gorsuch played in 37 games. He was also selected as the ECHL’s Goaltender of the Week for March 4-10 after going 3-0-0 and averaged a save percentage of .932.

Prior to signing with the Thunder, Gorsuch played for the Evansville Thunderbolts. He would play in 23 games and averaged a .936 save percentage. Also, during the 2022-2023 season, Gorsuch played in one game for the Kalamazoo Wings, Maine Mariners, and Florida Everblades.

Trevor Gorsuch attended Western Michigan University. Gorsuch would spend four seasons with the Broncos. He played in 52 games, averaging 2.75 goals-against, and had an average of .901 save percentage. Gorsuch finished his collegiate career with a record of 26-15-3

The Wichita Thunder begin the 2024-2025 season at home against the Kansas City Mavericks on October 18.
