Jeremy Masella, a defenseman for the Wichita Thunder, will be playing for DVTK Jegesmedvék for the 2024-2025 season. DVTK Jegesmedvék is located in Hungary and is part of the Erste Liga (which translates to “First League”). DVTK Jegesmedvék was established in 1910.
Masella signed with the Wichita Thunder in August last year. With the Thunder, he played in 71 games and had 11 points total (seven goals, four assists). He also had 121 penalty minutes.
During the 2022-2023 season, Masella spent time with three different teams: the Evansville Thunderbolts (SPHL), the Savannah Ghost Pirates, and the Kalamazoo Wings. He played eight games for the Thunderbolts (three goals and three assists), nine games for the Ghost Pirates, and 29 games for the K-Wings (one goal and one assist). Masella also played for the K-Wings during 2021-2022, playing in 20 games that season (one goal and three assists).
Before playing professionally, Masella briefly played for Carleton University, playing in a total of eight games scoring one goal.
Prior to college, Jeremy Masella played for the Prince Albert Raiders from 2017-2020. Over three years, Masella would play in a total of 165 games. During his first season, he had seven points (one goal, six assists). He scored 14 points, having two goals and twelve assists. Masella finished his third year with the Raiders with 64 games and 13 points (four goals, nine assists).
The Wichita Thunder will be back in action on October 18. The team kicks off their 2024-2025 home opened against the Kansas City Mavericks.
