The beat rolls on for the Worcester Railers offseason, but this time in terms of a trade where they received goaltender Michael Bullion and forward Jordan Kaplan from the Savannah Ghost Pirates in exchange for future considerations. The move for Bullion solves a need for a back-up goaltender for next season after Henrik Tikkanen only played in 20 games last year for the Railers and will likely see a lot of time next year in Bridgeport, As well Kaplan will be a good addition to the squad in 2024. The Ghost Pirates will receive future considerations for the Kaplan and Bullion. Future considerations mean that the deal is not set in stone and will be decided later.
Michael Bullion earned a winning record this past season, 15-10-2-1. His goals-against average was 2.77, and his save percentage was .908. He signed with the Ghost Pirates in 2023 and won 24 games in net for them in his short time there. The Anchorage, Alaska native has also spent time with the Norfolk Admirals and Atlanta Gladiators over the course of his three-year ECHL career.
“I think this is going to be a big year,” Boullion said. “I’m super excited, I know [Tuzzolino] is super excited, the team and the organization are super excited, and I think there’s a reason why. Be on the lookout, because we’re going to build something super special here.”

Jordan Kaplan played 51 games for the Ghost Pirates this past season, scoring 14 goals and adding 14 assists for 28 points. He has 26 goals and 38 assists for 64 points in 138 career games, spending time with the Adirondack Thunder, Norfolk Admirals, Reading Royals, Railers, and Ghost Pirates. This is Kaplan’s second run with Worcester, where he previously played games for the Railers, scoring one goal during the 2022-23 season. It will be interesting to see how this trade pans out next season.
“For the short time I was in Worcester, I was really able to feel the energy and commitment from the fans in the DCU Center,” Kaplan said. “I cant wait to get back in a Railers jersey and contribute to that again.”
