ECHL: Worcester Railers Announce Leadership Changes

Worcester Railers/ECHL

A change for the Worcester Railers recently occurred where Stephanie Ramey has stepped down leading to Kim Golinski stepping up for the position. With the Railers having a disappointing end to the 2023-24 season culminating in missing the playoffs all together and the mutual parting of ways between former Railers player and head coach Jordan Lavallee-Smotherman. The Railers are looking to revamp the team and that starts with management.

Ramey is not walking away from the team entirely, where she will take on the position of vice president of special projects for Rucker Investments. Ramey became president of the team in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. She became president during the lost 2020-21 season, helping the team get through that. Ramey is going to look to focus her efforts in downtown Worcester where the city can really benefit from her. This smart move led directly to the move to make Kim Golinski the next president of the team, where Ramey led a great transition for her.

Kim Golinski is already the president of a local hotspot in the Worcester area known as the Wormtown Brewery. Kim is a fan of the team and pitches in with volunteer work making her an excellent choice for president with her already familiar with the team. Kim knows what she is up for, where she has had more than 15 years of finance, human resources, sales, and leadership experiences. Golinski will take over at the beginning of August and look to get the Railers back on the right track.
