ECHL: Worcester Railers Re-Sign Jack Quinlivan

The Worcester Railers, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders, announced today that they’ve re-signed 27-year-old forward Jack Quinlivan for the 2023-24 season. Quinlivan played his first season in the ECHL in 2022-23. He put up two goals and one assist for three points in ten games with the Railers.

Before playing for Worcester, Jack Quinlivan played his whole time in the NCAA for the University of Maine. In 2018-19, he recorded two goals and two assists for four points in 36 games. The following year, in 2019-20, Quinlivan obtained a goal and two assists for three points in 34 games. In 2020-21, in 14 games, he posted one goal and one assist for two points. In his final year in college, which was 2021-22, Jack put up no goals but six assists for six points in 30 games.

Early in the 2022-23 ECHL season, Jack Quinlivan was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. Here’s what he had to say going into the next season:

“I’m super thankful for all of the support I’ve gotten from my team of doctors, my family and friends, the entire Worcester Railers organization, the Worcester Railers Booster Club, and my Maine hockey family. The recovery has been awesome, and I’m feeling great. I’m excited for another opportunity to compete for a job with the Railers. I’m looking forward to getting things going.”
