ECHL: Worcester Railers Re-Sign Their Captain

The Worcester Railers made their first signing for the 2025-26 season, as they announced the re-signing of their captain, Anthony Repaci. Despite battling injuries, Repaci had a career year, putting up 29 goals and 36 assists for 65 points in 57 games. He would be named as an ECHL All-Star for the first time in his career. The 2025-26 season will be his fifth year as a member of the Railers and his third as captain. He is the longest tenured captain in Railers franchise history. He has been voted as the “Fan Favorite” in each of his four years with Worcester.

During his time with the Railers, Anthony Repaci has 94 goals and 107 assists for 201 points in 219 games. He is Worcester’s all-time leader in games played (219), goals (94), assists (107), points (201), PP goals (26), PP assists (39), and PP points (65). Repaci saw one game at the AHL level with the Springfield Thunderbirds during the 2022-23 season. The Toronto, Ontario, native spent his first season in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears. In 46 games with Orlando, he had 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points.

“Worcester’s become a second home for me,” Repaci said. “I just love being around the city. I love playing at the DCU (Center) in front of the fans… I’ve been saying it for a few years now that I want to be a part of something special in Worcester and bringing a championship team and a winning team back to the city. I feel like I do owe it to the city and the fans.”

Junior and Pro Career

Prior to going pro, Anthony Repaci spent three seasons in the OJHL with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, where he had 92 goals and 93 assists for 185 points in 157 games. He led the team in goals in each of his final two seasons with the club. Repaci would add 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points in 20 OJHL Playoff games. Repaci then spent five seasons in USports with St. Mary’s University. He put up 60 goals and 58 assists for 118 points in 126 games with St. Mary’s. He would lead the team with 19 goals during the 2017-18 season. Repaci had 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points in 29 USports Playoff games.
