The Worcester Railers continue to build their roster for the 2024-25 season. They signed veteran forward Colin Jacobs, a Texas native. Jacobs, coming in as a veteran, has proven he can handle himself in all different kinds of professional hockey leagues. He played 436 career games across the American Hockey League, ECHL, and Europe.

He is no stranger to the ECHL, as he signed with the Allen Americans in December of 2023. Before that, he was playing in Germany. He had seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 39 games for Allen. He scored two goals in five games in the opening round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs against the Idaho Steelheads. He played 275 career ECHL games, where he racked up 118 points. That was split between 49 goals and 69 assists.

Jacobs was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft and played 46 games in the AHL with the Rochester Americans. Jacobs has not played a full season in North America since the 2018-2019 season. He looks to make his impact right away for the Worcester Railers at the DCU Center. The team is already in amazing shape, and adding a cornerstone in Colin Jacobs adds excitement.
