The Worcester Railers have announced that they signed defenseman Griffin Luce after re-signing defenseman Mason Klee. This will be Luce’s fifth professional season. Luce spent the past season split with the Milwaukee Admirals and Atlanta Gladiators. He had 12 points with three goals and nine assists playing with Atlanta and put up two assists in seven games for Milwaukee.
Luce played 93 total games in the AHL with the Thunderbirds and Americans. He scored 12 points with two goals and 10 assists. In the ECHL he had 14 points with three goals and 11 assists.
Luce spent his collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines from 2016-2020. In 131 games, he had 14 points, three goals, and 11 assists. He proves he has the ability on the defensive side of the buck to be the right move for the Railers.
“I’m just really excited honestly, it’s going to be a great season,” Luce said. “I know a few guys on the team and I know that we have one goal in mind this year and that’s to win the championship… We’re going to show up ready to go right from the get go and have a very successful year. I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the fans there and getting to know the area a little bit better.”
