The Worcester Railers have officially signed breakout star forward Joey Cipollone. This will be his first ECHL contract with his second professional season underway. Cipollone was with the Railers while under contract with the Bridgeport Islanders. They are part of the American Hockey League and Cipollone played with the Islanders during part of the 2023-24 season. In 63 games played during that season he put up 22 points with seven goals and 15 assists.

Cipollone played collegiate hockey with the Quinnipac Unniversity Bobcats. He won a national championship with the Bobcats in 2023. In 107 total games with the team he scored 38 points splitting that up with 19 goals and 19 assists. Prior to Quinnipac Unniversity, he spent two years with the University of Vermont Catamounts where he earned 20 points in 47 games played. During 2017-2020 he played with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League where he put up 10 goals and nine assists for a total of 19 points.

The Railers offense is looking to be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the ECHL. The team is coming together at the right time for the 2024 offseason as the regular season is right around the corner. Joey Cipollone is the perfect addition to the 2024-25 team.

The Worcester Railers HC will kick off the 2024-25 season at the DCU Center on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th, facing off against the Reading Royals.
