ECHL: Worcester Railers Transactions | 10/22/2024

As the 2024-25 season rolls on for the Worcester Railers, they signed young forward Lincoln Hatten to an ECHL contract to bolster their roster. To make room on the roster for Hatten, the Railers waived forward Austin Heidemann, who played in eight total games with the Railers while putting up one goal.

The 24-year-old forward Lincoln Hatten signed with the Railers after playing for the Evansville Thunderbolts in the Southern Professional Hockey League. He was in his second season with Evansville, participating in just two games so far in the 2024-25 season. Throughout his 56-game SPHL career, the Hattiesburg, MS native tallied 20 points (5 goals, 15 assists), accumulated 77 penalty minutes, and recorded a -1 rating.

Previously, Hatten spent a year at West Point, where he played for the Army Black Knights during the 2020-21 season, notching 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists) in 22 games. Before his collegiate hockey career, he played three seasons for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, amassing 78 points (31 goals, 47 assists) over 121 games, along with 253 penalty minutes and a +8 rating.

Lincoln Hatten has the hockey background to continue to complete at a high level and a professional level. The Worcester Railers signed Lincoln Hatten to enhance their roster with a player who has a solid track record in different hockey leagues where he has a spot that can easily be inserted into this lineup. His final product has been shown on the ice, and the Railers are the team for him.
