Edmonton Oilers Sign Former Coyotes Defenseman to 3-Year Contract

The Edmonton Oilers have made a significant move by signing defenseman Josh Brown to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $1 million. This signing addresses the potential loss of Vincent Desharnais and adds a veteran physical presence to the team’s back-end. Brown has gained valuable experience during his time in Arizona, averaging 15 minutes of ice time per game over the past two seasons, showcasing his ability to provide depth and contribute to the team’s strong defensive efforts.

His rugged style of play brings an element of toughness that can uplift and energize the team, making him a valuable asset. Interestingly, Brown’s signing marks the second player with the last name “Brown” to sign with the Oilers on July 1st, and there are multiple “Connors” now as well.
