Edmonton Oilers Trade Evander Kane to Vancouver Canucks

The Edmonton Oilers season came to an end in game six of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Florida Panthers have now won back-to-back Stanley Cups. The Oilers this morning started their offseason moves by trading forward Evander Kane to the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks are sending back Ottawa’s 2025 fourth-round draft pick to Edmonton, with no salary retained. Kane missed the regular season with an injury, returning in game two of the first round of the playoffs. In 21 playoff games, he had 12 points on six goals and six assists. Kane was a plus-four, had 44 penalty minutes, and one power-play point. Pierre LeBrun of TSN reported there were three teams interested in Kane. However, he goes back home to Vancouver. That was his preference.
