The Winnipeg Jets have wrapped up a strong first week in the NHL, earning three victories and boasting a win-loss record of 3-0.

There’s a lot of optimism surrounding the Winnipeg Jets in the 2024-25 season and now a 3-0 win-loss record to start the season is giving a more positive outlook for fans.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck ends the week with a 3-0 win-loss record while backup netminder Eric Comrie has yet to see the ice. The Jets continue their current homestand as they welcome the San Jose Sharks on Friday, October 18th for a 7:00 pm CST game. They will follow this game up with a potential match against former Winnipeg Jets prospect, Rutger McGroarty as the Pittsburgh Penguins are in town on October 20th for a 2:00 pm CST game.

Top Prospect Report
Some of the Winnipeg Jets’ top prospects like Brad Lambert, Chaz Lucius, Nikita Chibrikov, Elias Salomonsson, Simon Lundmark, Thomas Milic and Domenic DiVincentiis are playing with the Manitoba Moose for the 2024-25 season. Others have been reassigned to their clubs overseas or sent back to junior.
Brayden Yager was reassigned to the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL on September 29th. He has seven points (4G, 3A) in four games for the Warriors so far.
Colby Barlow was reassigned to the Owen Sound Attack on September 29th. He was later traded to the Oshawa Generals on October 3rd. He has not recorded a point in the 2024-25 season for the Generals yet.
Alfons Freij did not participate in the Winnipeg Jets 2024 training camp. He is playing for IF Bjorkloven in HockeyAllsvenskan and their J20 team in J20 Nationell. He recorded two points (1G, 1A) in one game before being assigned to the men’s senior team. He’s recorded two assists and points in eight games for IF Bjorkloven since being assigned to the team.
Injured List
Ville Heinola is out for an undisclosed amount of time after an infection was found in his ankle. He is practicing his stickhandling at Jets practices but is not skating as of this time. His return is to be determined.
Logan Stanley is out for a minimum of four weeks after undergoing knee surgery. He is currently practicing in a non-contact jersey. His return is projected to be around late October to early November.
Jaret Anderson-Dolan is out for an undetermined amount of time after he broke his foot in early October. His return is to be determined.

Checking in with the Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose, the Winnipeg Jets’ AHL affiliate, have opened their 2024-25 season with a pair of wins over the Iowa Wild. Thomas Milic earned his first victory of the season while Domenic DiVincentiis recorded his first professional career victory with the Manitoba Moose.
Ben King scored his first goal with the Moose while Elias Salomonsson scored his first professional goal in his AHL debut. The leading scorer for the Moose is Nikita Chibrikov with four points (1G, 3A). Seven of the Moose players have yet to record a point in the 2024-25 season (excluding goaltenders).
