Former Boston Bruins Forward Signs Five-Year Deal To Play in Sweden

Boston Bruins 2016 sixth-round draft pick Oskar Steen inked a five-year contract with Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League on Saturday, officially ending his time with Boston.

Steen spent parts of four seasons with the Bruins from 2020-24 and accumulated four goals and eight points in 60 career regular-season games. The 26-year-old forward played four campaigns with Farjestad before signing a three-year, entry-level contract on May 3, 2019, with Boston.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound winger also played 221 career games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and totaled 53 goals and 63 assists. Steen will likely finish his hockey-playing career in his native Sweden.
