
The Nashville Predators announced the signing of defenseman Jeremy Lauzon on Monday to a four-year, $8 million contract. Lauzon was acquired at the trade deadline from the Seattle Kraken and played in thirteen regular-season games and three playoff games with Nashville.
The 25-year-old Lauzon was a 2015 second-round pick (52nd overall) of the Boston Bruins and has appeared in 142 NHL games in his career. The Kraken selected Lauzon in the expansion draft. The 6’1” 204-pound defenseman had a career-high 224 hits in the 2021-22 season.
The Val-d’Or, Quebec native also blocked a career-high 63 shots this past season. Lauzon spent four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before turning pro in the 2018-19 NHL season.
