Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi has shed his non-contact jersey and is now considered a game-time decision for the Winnipeg Jets ahead of game four.
The Jets close out the St. Louis portion of consecutive games tomorrow afternoon when puck drop is scheduled for noon CST.
Vilardi has been out of game action since March 23rd and was considered week-to-week with an upper body injury after what head coach Scott Arniel called a freak accident.
The 25-year-old forward from Kingston, Ontario, scored 61 points (27G, 34A) in 71 games, all of which are career highs for Vilardi.
Vilardi’s status was upgraded to day-to-day late in the regular season, and his status is now a positive sign as Vilardi has shed his non-contact jersey and has a chance to get into some playoff action for Winnipeg.
Winnipeg won games one and two before St. Louis responded accordingly in game three with a statement 7-2 win. Vilardi’s health getting to its current state is massively positive for the Jets, who could use more firepower upfront as they look to take a 3-1 series lead in St. Louis.
Vilardi played all five games for the Winnipeg Jets in the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, where he posted just four assists. His effectiveness and chemistry with the Jets’ first line players in Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele make him an anticipated return, but it will be intriguing to see where he does slot in, as Alex Iafallo has been playing effectively on the top line in Vilardi’s absence.
Game four between the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues has a scheduled puck drop for Noon CST at Enterprise Center.
