Wrap Up
The Red Wings since the calendar flipped to 2024 are now 10-2-2 after their win over the Canucks on Saturday. February was going to be a question mark month for this team as that’s when they fell out of it last season but in their first game of the month, they beat one of the best teams in the league to this point. Things will be a little tough going forward as they are on a four-game road trip against teams in or fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference and then they return home to take on the Avalanche who are fighting for the division lead in the Central Division. If in those five games, the Red Wings can find a way to manage to come away with six-seven points they’ll be in great shape going forward and should be buying at the trade deadline.
In their last ten games against Edmonton, Detroit is 4-5-1, and have been outscored 36-30 in those ten games. Detroit lost in overtime 3-2 back on January 11th to Edmonton.
