Detroit: Vladimir Tarasenko (1-0-1)

Tarasenko in his Red Wings debut on Thursday had a goal and recorded four shots on goal playing alongside J.T. Compher and Patrick Kane on the second line. In his career against the Predators, he has played in 43 games recording 37 points on 16 goals and 21 assists. Last season in three games he didn’t record a point against them.

Nashville: Steven Stamkos (0-0-0)

Stamkos has faced Detroit 42 times in the regular season recording 42 points on 23 goals and 19 assists. Last season he faced them three times recording four points on three goals and an assist. Now he’s out of the Red Wings division but can cause problems for them with the Predators and playing with Tommy Novak and Jonathan Marchessault. In his Predators debut, he failed to record a point and had three shots on goal.
