This is officially must-win territory, with the Red Wings dropping their fourth straight game to the Coyotes last night they are in danger of falling of out the Wild Card spot. The Red Wings were once the hottest team in hockey but have since gone 1-4-0 in their last five while the team chasing them in the Islanders has won six of their last eight including a matchup against the Red Wings. Detroit needs to find a way to come out of this game with at least a point.
In their last ten games against Vegas, Detroit is 6-4-0, and have outscored the Knights 31-30 in those ten games. Detroit beat Vegas earlier this season at the end of January 5-2.
