This stretch for the Red Wings is going to be a real test as they face two teams that are chasing them as well as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference and another matchup against the Colorado Avalanche all in their next four games before the trade deadline. This is the time last season when the Red Wings collapsed, this team feels much different but in these next four games, they need to come away with a minimum of four points.

In their last ten games against Washington, Detroit is 3-6-1, and have been outscored 30-20 in those ten games. This is the first of three matchups between these two this season.
