The Pittsburgh Penguins look to finish 3-0-0 on the road as they battle the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern.

The game will be available to watch on SportsNet Pittsburgh and ESPN+, while audio of the game will be on the Penguins app and 105.9 the X.

The Penguins come into this game with a 5-6-0 record, while the Kings are 8-2-2 to start the season.

Notes:

The Penguins currently lead the league in the faceoff dot with a 56.4% win percentage, with captain Sidney Crosby leading the way. Crosby currently leads the league with 152 faceoff wins, while he is third in the league with a 62.3% faceoff win percentage.

The Penguins also currently have the sixth-best goals-per-game average, with 2.82.

Last game, goalies Tristan Jarry and Magnus Hellberg combined for a 32-save shutout in Anaheim. It was the fifth time in the Penguins’ history that they had a combined shutout and the first time in 10 years. They now are tied for the league lead in shutouts, along with the New York Islanders, with three.

One player to watch tonight for the Pens is Evgeni Malkin. Geno has four game-winning goals against the Kings in his career, which is the most out of any Eastern Conference player. Geno also has nine goals and 19 points in 20 career games against the Kings. Geno also is second in takeaways this season with 14, which is only behind Vegas Golden Knights forward Mark Stone, who has 17.

Another player to watch is Sidney Crosby. He currently is rocking a six-game point streak, with three goals and seven points in that span. He only has failed to record a point in one game this season. His point streak is the longest by a Penguin this season so far and his longest since his nine-game point streak last season, in which he recorded three goals and 14 points in that span.

Another player who is riding a point streak is Erik Karlsson. His assist against the Ducks helped extend his streak to three games, which is the third-longest active among defensemen. He currently has one goal and five points in his last three games.

Opinion: Oilers’ Stuart Skinner Showing Some Steadiness Between the Pipes

When it comes to Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner, one never knows what they are going to get. On one hand, one might see a version of Skinner, 26, who stands tall, comes up with big saves, does not get out of position, and does not allow soft goals. When this version of Skinner is […]
