He faced Detroit in the season opener, picking up the win and stopping 32 of the 35 shots he faced.

Wrap Up:

The Red Wings have a tough stretch, as they will play three games in five days. They need points as they have fallen out of a playoff spot, and the mark focused on for a playoff team is being in a spot by Thanksgiving; well, with a win and a Carolina loss, Detroit is back in a playoff spot on Thanksgiving, so Detroit needs two points tonight, but it won’t be easy against this Devils team that despite their struggles out of the gate are talented.

In their last ten games against New Jersey, the Red Wings are 4-6-0 and have been outscored 35-27. The Red Wings lost their season opener to the Devils 4-3.
