Ryan Graves Signs With Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh isn’t done yet, the Penguins have announced that they’ve agreed to terms on a six-year contract worth $4.5 million annually with Ryan Graves. Graves, who was drafted 110th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, is a physically imposing defenseman and what teams should have fought tooth and nail to sign.

Ryan Graves Stats

Graves is listed as 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, his frame took him a bit to fill in as he would finally get his NHL debut in the 2018-19 season. In the 2019-20 season, Graves became a full-time NHL defenseman, Graves would finish a third season with Colorado before being traded to New Jersey, where he became a near 30-point defenseman.

Graves has played 302 NHL games in his career, where he has scored 28 goals, and 72 assists for 100 points. Graves is also a career plus/minus of plus 84 and has accumulated 154 penalty minutes. This signing stings a bit more as Graves leaves for the Penguins, who are a division rival of the New Jersey Devils.
