Team USA dominated Switzerland from start to finish on Thursday, delivering a 10–0 shutout win to move to the top of Group B after two days of play. Seven different skaters scored, with LJ Mooney, Cole McKinney, and Richard Gallant each recording three-point nights. Goaltender Joey Slavick turned aside all 26 shots faced for the shutout.
