Indy Fuel Announce Protected List

The Indy Fuel, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and part of the ECHL Central Division, has released its Protected List for the upcoming 2024-2025 Regular Season. The Indy Fuel Staff has protected a total of 23 players, including many key players listed below:

Cameron Hillis (Forward): (54 GP) 18 Goals, 43 Assists (61 Points) – 2023-2024 Season

Bryan Lemos (Forward): (64 GP) 10 Goals, 35 Assists (45 Points) – 2023-2024 Season

Zach Driscoll (Goalie): (36 GP) 22-12 Record, 97 GA, 2.82 GAA, 0.893 Save % – 2023-2024 Season

Players Protected:

Zach Driscoll, Cam Gray, Matt Cairns, Chris Cameron, Cam Bakker, Victor Hadfield, Santino Centorame, Nick Grima, Luke McInnis, Matt Watson, Chase Lang, Bryan Lemos, Cam Hausinger, Matus Spodniak, Andrew Bellant, Sam Ruffin, Darby Llewellyn, Jordan Martin, Cameron Hillis, Brett Bulmer, Jon Martin, Chad Yetman, & Nate Pionk.

ECHL Guidelines:

Teams can protect an unlimited number of players as long as they adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association. According to the agreement, teams are entitled to retain the rights of players who:

1. Signed an SPC in 2023-24 with the Member, and has not been traded or released, OR

2. Signed an SPC in 2023-24, and was recalled to the NHL/AHL or IIHF team, and has not been traded or released, OR

3. Had received a Qualifying Offer last summer for the current Season, DID NOT sign an SPC, and has not been traded or released, OR

4. Has been suspended by the Member or League, and has not been traded or released, OR

5. Signed an SPC on or after the first day of the 2023-24 Regular Season, then subsequently signed an NHL/AHL contract, and has not been traded or released, OR

6. Has executed the ECHL Retirement Form and has not been traded or released.
