Amid the Boston Bruins loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night, Bruins defenseman Andrew Peeke left the game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Following the game, there was no update on his status.

This morning, during his pregame availability, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery addressed the injury and listed Peeke as week-to-week. He also noted there would be no call-ups from AHL Providence. Given the Bruins struggles early this season, Peeke’s loss will be an additional hurdle to overcome while trying to improve their win column.

The Boston Bruins next three games against the Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, and St. Louis Blues could be a make-or-break type of stretch for this team.
