Isles Ink Top D Prospect Isaiah George to ELC

The New York Islanders announced via social media that the club’s top defensive prospect, Isaiah George, had agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract.

George was the Islanders’ fourth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old has spent the last two seasons playing for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, where he most recently tallied 22 points in 55 games a season ago, including a +23 +/-.

These are impressive numbers for a 4th round blue-liner who appears to be a steal and a late bloomer for Lou Lamoriello and the Isles.

With Isles rookie camp opening up on Thursday, September 14th, expect George to be the highlight of the back end.

There isn’t a realistic chance Isaiah makes the Islanders opening night roster, but he should see some big minutes up the I-95 in Bridgeport this upcoming season.
