Jamie Drysdale Returns to Action

After missing months of hockey due to injury, Anaheim Ducks’ talented young defenceman Jamie Drysdale is expected to make his return tonight vs the Calgary Flames. Yesterday, Jamie was back in practice, playing on a line with Cam Fowler. Vaakanainen will most likely be the scratched D-man as he was the extra skater during the practice.

Jamie Drysdale has been sidelined for nearly the entirety of this season, participating in only two games, and similarly, he missed the majority of the previous season, featuring in just eight matches. Although the nature of the two injuries differs, it’s evident that both instances caused significant discomfort for the Toronto native.

Anticipated to join the first defensive pairing, Jamie Drysdale is set to be alongside Cam Fowler. The intriguing aspect to watch is whether Drysdale swiftly assumes the role of the primary power unit quarterback, a position previously held by Mintyukov.

The Anaheim Ducks were facing a challenging stretch until the last two games, but prior to that, they had suffered four consecutive losses. Their recent track record was notably tough, with a 1-9-0 record in the previous ten games. Additionally, they have encountered difficulties in closing out games, as evidenced by 14 regulation losses in the last 17 matchups. A recurring pattern has been relinquishing leads in the third period, mirroring their most recent defeat against the New York Islanders. Jamie Drysdale’s presence is sure to be one of good use, as he has two points in his lone two games so far this season.
